Humboldt County Animal Shelter Adoption Event

“For Pitties Sake”

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Animal Shelter will be holding a discounted adoption event during the month of May, in an effort to reduce our population and find caring homes for more dogs. The adoption prices for all Pit Bull and Pit Bull mix dogs will be discounted 50% for the entire month! Adoption fees for each dog will vary based on spay/neuter costs.

In 2011 the Shelter took in approximately 255 Pit Bull and Pit Bull mix breed dogs. Only 27 of those dogs had to be euthanized because they were not suitable for adoption. Our current shelter dog population is approximately 75% Pit Bull and Pit Bull mix breeds. We would love to find them all good homes!
