On 01-25-2005 at approximately 1:00pm the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Trinidad Police Department served a search warrant at a residence located on the 800 block of Patricks Point Drive, Trinidad.

When officers arrived at the residence they located one male subject inside of the residence, who they identified as Mark A. Craig age 35. When officers were approaching the residence a second male subject fled out the back door of the residence. Officers located the second male subject hiding in the brush behind the residence. The second subject was identified as James F. Jennings age 34.

When officers searched the residence they located an indoor marijuana growing operation in two of the bedrooms. Officers seized 153 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 8 inches to 3 feet. When officers searched Mark Craig they located $1,750 dollars in his jacket pocket. Officers seized the $1,750 dollars for possible asset seizure.

Officers arrested Mark Craig for cultivation and possession for sales of marijuana. James Jennings was arrested for cultivation, possession for sales of marijuana and for resisting arrest. Both subjects were booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
