On Monday June 26, 2006 at 2112 hours, Deputies from the McKinleyville Station responded to the 76 Service Station, 1980 Central Avenue, McKinleyville to investigate a reported robbery from that business. The station employee reported to Sheriff’s Deputies he had been robbed by a lone male who entered the business and demanded the cash from the register. The suspect was given an amount of money from the register and was last seen running northbound on Central Avenue. The suspect was described as follows: Indian male adult, 35 to 40 years of age, 6’0” tall, 250 pounds, black hair with a long ponytail, unshaven with a goatee, bulky black jacket with multiple pockets, blue jeans, white tennis shoes.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking possible witnesses who may have seen the suspect fleeing the scene or may know the identity of the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to telephone the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, McKinleyville Station at 707-839-6600.
