Shortly after midnight Monday morning, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies Travis Braud and Chandler Baird conducted a traffic stop in Garberville on a subject who was driving on a suspended license. The driver, Dylan Blaine Streeter, 24 and transient, stepped out of his car and acknowledged that he had a suspended driver’s license. The deputies placed him under arrest and prepared to tow his vehicle. The deputies conducted a search of Streeter’s vehicle and found the following:
21.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine
One pound of marijuana
.22 caliber loaded semi-automatic handgun
.22 caliber loaded revolver handgun
Three Samurai swords
Six illegal knives: Four throwing knives, one brass knuckle/knife, and one multi bladed knife
Two digital scales
A gallon bag with suspected methamphetamine residue
Streeter was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked for possession of a deadly weapon, illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance, the transport or sales of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana (greater than one ounce), and possession of marijuana for sales.
Streeter’s bail has been set at $50,000 and he is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
