In light of the recent snowfall, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public to be respectful of private property rights. Please remember that all areas off of the roads between Kneeland and Bridgeville are privately owned, as is the property on Bear River Ridge on Monument Road. Those people choosing the visit the snow are encouraged to ensure they are not trespassing. The Sheriff’s Office will be increasing enforcement efforts and reminds the public that trespassing is a misdemeanor. The public can enjoy the snow on Forest Service lands such as the Titlow Hill area. Remember to drive carefully, with appropriate weather gear such as chains or snow tires.
