Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies seized more than 19,000 marijuana plants yesterday from a marijuana growing operation near Shively. An employee of the Pacific Lumber Company, on whose property the marijuana was found, alerted Sheriff’s Deputies to the marijuana plants. When deputies arrived they seized 19,908 starter marijuana plants. Deputies also discovered a campsite and three areas that had been cleared, evidently in preparation for the planting of the marijuana plants. There were no suspects at the scene and the case is still under investigation.
