Subject: Search and Rescue - Missing Juvenile

Location: Albee Creek Campground, Dyerville Area

On 7-24-07, approximately 7:00 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office was notified of a missing 8 year old juvenile male. The juvenile, named Ian Hansbearry, was last seen at the Albee Creek Campground State Park, Bull Creek Road, Dyerville Area at approximately 5:00 p.m. on 7-24-07 by his family who was camping with him.

California State Parks and Humboldt County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene where a command post has been established. There are currently two California Rescue Dog Association (CARDA) search dogs on scene with four more enroute. Due to low overcast conditions aircraft have been unable to assist, however are on standby should conditions improve.

Ian Hansbearry is described as a Caucasian male, eight years old, 4' 8" tall, 65 pounds, Blond Hair, Blue Eyes, last seen wearing a Blue and Yellow button up short sleeve shirt, green shorts, black and orange Adidas tennis shoes. Ian and his family reside in Eureka.
