On 09-04-2007 at approximately midnight the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a telephone call from a female, who lived at a residence on the 3600 block of Thomas Road, Miranda. The female subject stated that she had just been assaulted and threatened with a handgun by her boyfriend, Timothy Richard Roediger age 54.

The Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to her residence. When the Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene Timothy Roediger had already fled the area. The female subject told the deputies that Roediger had thrown her to the ground by her hair after an argument. The female subject said that Roediger then pointed a handgun at her head and told her that he was going to kill her.

The female subject said that Roediger then fled the residence with the handgun prior to the deputies arriving on scene. When deputies arrived on scene they checked the residence and area for Roediger and were unable to locate him. Deputies did discover an outdoor marijuana growing operation on the property that belonged to Roediger.

Deputies said that the female subject left the residence with a friend, per her request. Deputies stayed on scene and requested a search warrant for any more possible firearms in the residence and for the marijuana growing operation.

At 0715 hours a search warrant was obtained for the residence and property. Deputies then seized 136 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 3 foot to 6 feet. Deputies seized a 20 gauge sawed off shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle from inside of the residence.

Deputies are currently looking for Roediger, who they consider armed and dangerous. If anyone has information on Roediger location they are urged to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 445-7251. Roediger is described as a white, male, 6 foot tall, weight 155 pounds, blond hair, blue eyes.
