Humboldt County Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing the investigation of the shooting that occurred in Alderpoint early Sunday morning. The man who was shot remains in critical condition in a Redding hospital. Early in the investigation, the man had only been identified by the nickname “Tosh.” Detectives have since identified the man; his name is not being released until family members have been informed of his condition.
The second man who sustained injuries at the same location also remains hospitalized in Redding. His injuries were consistent with a severe beating. His name is also being withheld, as the case is still under investigation.
Detectives are still interested in speaking with 26 year-old Cameron S. Daubner, who is not a suspect. Anyone with information about this case should call Sgt. Wayne Hanson at (707) 268-3639 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
