At about 11:00 last night, a Eureka woman was arrested after a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputy found her in possession of almost 300 narcotic pills (for which she did not have a prescription) and drug paraphernalia. Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Gagnon made contact with two occupants of a vehicle for a vehicle code violation on Broadway near West Hawthorne. Eureka Police Officer Winkle arrived to assist.
The passenger of the vehicle, Teresa Massutti, 32, consented to a search of her purse and handed it to Deputy Gagnon. Inside Massutti’s purse, Deputy Gagnon found a glass pipe and the pills. Massutti was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of a narcotic controlled substance for sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She posted bail in the amount of $25,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned on February 12, 2008.
