Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Blue Lake man today after finding him in possession of approximately 69 grams of suspected methamphetamine. At about 2:15 this afternoon, Deputy D.Lundie conducted a vehicle investigation at the intersection of Greenwood Road and A Street in Blue Lake. He contacted the driver, John Leopold Adams, 43, and learned that Adams was on felony probation with a search clause. Deputy Lundie conducted a search of Adams’ vehicle and found 69 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 2.2 grams of suspected cocaine, pills, packaging materials, and a digital scale. Adams was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked for possession of a controlled substance for sale, the transport of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of a narcotic for sale, and a probation violation. His bail was set at $250,000 and he is expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
