On 02-25-2008 at 1800 hours the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Humboldt County Code Enforcement Unit and Humboldt County Drug Task Force served a search warrant on a parcel of property located off Woods Ranch, Redway. Officers seized 2,570 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 1 inch to 4 feet from three structures. Officers seized 3 assault rifles and a small amount of LSD from inside of the residence located on the property. Officers seized two quadrunners and a 70 k/w diesel generator that was supplying electrical power to the indoor marijuana growing operation.

No suspects were on the property when the search warrant was served. A suspect has been identified through evidence located on the property. An arrest warrant will be requested through the Humboldt County District Attorney for that suspect for cultivation of marijuana , possession for sales of marijuana and possession of LSD.

Case# 2008-1121

On 02-26-2008 at 1730 hours the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Humboldt County Code Enforcement Unit and Humboldt County Drug Task Force served another search warrant on a parcel of property located off Woods Ranch, Redway. Officers seized 1,251 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 1 inch to 4 feet from 4 structures located on the property. Officers seized a 15 k/w diesel generator that was supplying electrical power to the indoor marijuana growing operation. Officers seized 80 pounds of dried marijuana that was located on the property.

Officers arrested two suspects in this case for cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sales. The two suspects are both from the Redway area and were identified as:

David Shriver age 36 , who posted bail.

Eric Eastridge age 31 is still in custody and his bail has been set at $30,000 dollars.


These cases are still under investigation.
