Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a dance at the Loleta Fireman’s Pavilion early Saturday morning after receiving a report of a stabbing. Deputies arrived at about 1:15 a.m. and found a 28 year-old Eureka man lying on the steps of the fire hall and covered in blood. Medical aid was summoned and as the victim was being treated, deputies discovered he had been stabbed several times. None of the bystanders provided any information about his injuries.

The victim described his attacker as an adult male, possibly Hispanic, about 5’ 4” tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. Additionally, the suspect had a moustache, wore earrings, and had a shaved head. He was wearing a gray or dark blue “Ben Davis” work-shirt and black and white Nike Cortez tennis shoes.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Anyone with information about this case should call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
