Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 31-year-old Eureka man today after responding to a reported stabbing. At about 11:45 this morning a woman called from a residence on the 500 block of Herrick Avenue and said her nephew, Bryan Lucan Kenner, had just stabbed his mother. Deputies arrived and found Kenner still at the residence; he was taken into custody without incident. Deputies discovered that, in fact, two women had been stabbed: Kenner’s grandmother and his aunt, who had made the call to law enforcement. Both women were treated for their injuries by medical personnel at the scene and then transported to an area hospital. Both women sustained multiple stab wounds and both are in stable condition. Kenner was also transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries he is believed to have sustained during the attack. Kenner will be booked for two counts of attempted murder.
