A Shelter Cove woman was arrested Saturday night after a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop and found 45 pounds of processed marijuana in her vehicle. At about 5:00 p.m. the deputy pulled over Tiffany Charbonneau, 30 of Shelter Cove, for speeding. As he approached the car he could smell the odor of marijuana. She provided the deputy with a Proposition 215 recommendation, but it was expired. Charbonneau was detained and the deputy conducted a search of the vehicle. Inside he found 100 starter plants (about 8” tall). He also found a total of 45 pounds of marijuana, separated into one pound bags each. The deputy found a significant amount of cash and a pay out sheet detailing the sale of marijuana.

She was booked for possession of marijuana for sale, the transportation for sale of marijuana and the original traffic violations. Charbonneau posted bail bond in the amount of $50,000 was released from custody. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 15, 2010.
