Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Eureka man Friday night after finding him in possession of more than 20 grams of MDMA, commonly known as Ecstasy. At about 9:30 p.m., a deputy was on patrol in Redway when he saw a vehicle parked on the wrong side of Redway Drive. The driver side door was open and the dome light was on. The deputy approached to investigate and saw a man leave a nearby residence and get into the car. Upon contacting the man, Anthony James Pollette, the deputy learned that Pollette was on probation with a search clause. The deputy searched Pollette’s vehicle and found 20.1 grams of Ecstasy powder. Additionally, deputies found 63 grams of concentrated cannabis at Pollette’s residence. Deputies arrested Pollette and transported him to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. He was booked for possession of a controlled substance, possession of concentrated cannabis, and a probation violation. He posted bail in the amount of $20,000 and was released from custody early Saturday morning. He is scheduled to appear in court September 30.
