On 09-25-2003 at 1:30 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at a residence and property located off Highway 299 in Willow Creek. Deputies seized 932 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 3 inches to 3 feet from a sophisticated underground marijuana growing operation. Deputies seized an additional 95 outdoor marijuana plants that ranged in size from 2 feet to 5 feet. Deputies seized a 10 k/w diesel generator that was supplying electrical to the underground marijuana growing operation. There were no suspects at the scene when Deputies served the search warrant.

Deputies through their investigation have identified Kenneth Douglas Craig age 50 as a suspect in this case. Deputies will request a warrant for Kenneth Craig’s arrest through the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office for cultivation and possession for sales of marijuana.
