Unsecured Taxes Due

Humboldt County Property taxes on business, property, boats, and airplanes are due by Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Call the Tax Collector's Office if you have questions.

County Treasurer's Portfolio Update

The Humboldt County Treasurer acts as banker and portfolio manager for most of the public agencies within Humboldt County. The present portfolio of more than $210 million represents deposits from schools, special districts, and the county. The portfolio objectives are: SAFETY, Liquidity, Yield.

The portfolio consists mainly of U.S. government-backed securities, with the balance in medium-term notes of top-rated corporations, CDs, the State Treasurer's Investment Pool, and a managed investment pool. All of the investments are considered safe in today's financial markets.

Paperless Billing

We are currently working to introduce a paperless billing program for your property tax bills. You can send us an email at taxinfo@co.humboldt.ca.us if you are interested in participating in this option once we are able to offer it.
