County Medical Services Program (CMSP) and Path2Health (P2H)
CMSP and P2H are medical coverage programs for low-income residents who do not qualify for Medi-Cal.
Path2Health eligibility is limited to County residents with net non-exempt income at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level. There is no asset or property test for Path2Health.
CMSP eligibility is limited to County residents with net non-exempt income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. CMSP eligibility is also limited to single people with $2000 or less in countable property or couples with $3000 or less in countable property.
An applicant is evaluated for Medi-Cal before being evaluated for Path2Health, and for Path2Health before CMSP.
No need to know which program, Medi-Cal, CMSP or P2H you may qualify for! Just ask to "apply for medical coverage" and your worker will make sure you receive the program for which you are eligible.
