Human Rights Commission and Commissioners

About the Commission:

The commission was established by the Board of Supervisors to be its eyes and ears in matters of human rights.  The commission investigates complaints of human rights violations, particularly in employment housing, education and public accommodation and services.  The Commission also educates the community about human rights issues, and co-sponsors public discussions.

Commissioners are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve four-year terms. Commissioners serve without remuneration.
